ABOUT US

InFocus JBay is a Photography Studio in the beautiful town of Jeffreys Bay, on the famous Garden Route in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. It is owned by Hesham and Mel Shaaban, who decided to leave the hustle and bustle of Gauteng to be part of the waves, whales, dolphins and shells scene of J-Bay.

The business originated abroad in 1999 when Hesham decided to combine his artistic talents with his ability to work well with his hands and mind to make a living from photography, which is his passion and which he was trained in, among other things, such as calligraphy. Throughout the past 17 years, he worked hard to hone his skills to perfection. Being exposed to different countries, people and cultures; combined with his international training; he has been able to optimise all that he has seen and learnt into establishing InFocus JBay.

He arrived in South Africa early in 2010 to capture moments from the 2010 World Cup hosted in South Africa, and fell in love with the country - he decided to stay and the result was that South Africa gained an extremely talented photographer.

Mel has extensive experience in administration and office management and is in charge of admin & operations at InFocus JBay. Together, they form a focused team aiming to deliver the best in everything that they do.
